Who We Are

Alumni supporting alumni — and the next generation.

The Jose Marti Alumni Association New York, Inc. (JMAANY) is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the state of New York, founded in 2015.

Through fundraising events, donations, subscriptions, membership dues, and municipal grants, we work to improve every student's educational experience — while adhering to the strictest ethical guidelines and highest moral standards.

We are governed by an eleven-member board of executives and one ambassador at large: a president, two vice presidents, a treasurer, an assistant treasurer, a secretary, an assistant secretary, and four public relations officers.

Our Vision

To assist Jose Marti Technical High School students, faculty and alumni members — in addition to the communities that we serve — with resources to improve the students' educational experience and our stakeholders' quality of life.

Our School

Jose Marti Technical High School

Located in Twickenham Park, St. Catherine, Jamaica — a gift from Cuba to Jamaica.

January 10, 1977

JMTHS is inaugurated as a boarding school for 560 students — a gift from Cuba to the people of Jamaica.

1989

The school transitions to become a technical high school, expanding its curriculum for the modern era.

1991

JMTHS is adopted by Wisynco Group of Companies, deepening its industry partnerships.

2015

JMAANY is founded in New York to organize alumni support for their alma mater — under first president Mr. Courtney Francis.

January 2027

JMTHS celebrates its Golden Jubilee — 50 years of educating Jamaica's finest.
